Now that I am back in Delaware and all settled down again, I just wanted to thank you for all you did to make my tour such a memorable experience, including all the last minute adjustments. It was an amazing trip and exceeded my expectations in terms of what I would learn and begin to understand. Everyone was wonderful and I appreciated how welcoming they were and how comfortable they made me feel while touring. Since I have come home there has been a whirlwind of activity but I've been telling everyone how incredible my time was.

What you won’t get on a Go Native America tour is an ego-tripped oration about how Natives can do no wrong.
While [Serle] is deeply respectful of all indigenous peoples, he also freely admits the faults of even the most celebrated leaders, both of the past and the present. He possesses an uncanny knack for describing characters in ways totally relatable in today’s terms. His stories of Red Cloud, for instance, vividly illustrated the Lakota war leader as a powerful motivator, a shrewd politician, a heavy-handed negotiator and an ingenious international trade leader whose abilities would rival any political or corporate powerhouse on the scene today.

Every American should know the true story of Wounded Knee. Serle Chapman, guide of the Lakota Moon and other Go Native America journeys, shared with us his extensive research on historical events which led to the massacre.
We stood at the actual sites of birthplaces, buffalo jumps, battles and burial grounds, surveying the landscape as the stories unfolded. As we ascended to the top of Harney Peak, strolling among cedars, pines and sparkling quartz, I could easily understand why the Black Hills were, and still ARE, Wakan (holy, numinous) to the First Peoples here, and it's good to know that people like Serle, Sequoia, and Ernie LaPointe are doing much to educate us on Lakota history and keeping traditions alive.

We are in the process of getting all the pictures done - trying to "relive" some of those most wonderful, informational, inspirational (I could go on and on) with our guide Serle during our very special tours. I'd like to do it all over again someday. It was a great honor to have him as our guide - I believe he must hear this very frequently...but it truly was. He is such a very special person. As I told him I will try to carry his words with me and I will always treasure those days with him. He simply has a beautiful soul and is truly a beautiful man.

This company has the best attitude ever on responsibility towards tribal people and their ways. No voyeurism in sight! You feel so welcome, in a respectful environment. I researched tours to Indian Country but several used sweat lodges as a selling point. Having been on Lakota Moon, I now understand why ceremonies should be totally off limits to any company that calls itself responsible. We traveled huge distances and experienced so much we couldn’t have done solo. We met amazing people, with huge hearts; it was like being on a mini life-journey all in two weeks.

I didn’t think of America as a place where eco-friendly anything is possible, but Go Native America showed us how first nations were first ecologists on the continent, and they are working to restore that status and help native people start eco-tourism ventures. You can see they are obviously part of the native community and how they contribute. Best trip ever - I can't wait to come back again

Mountains and Plains was a special time; for me it will always remain one of the best times of my life.
