Native Edventure Trails
Awesome self-guided family trails with prizes awarded by
tribal representatives upon successful completion.
Native Edventure Trails are a fun way for kids and families to explore, absorb and learn from Native culture, history and sites. Each program follows a planned, flexible route and the participants must visit at least three out of five listed stops. Edventure Trails are designed to be completed in one day, but you can take as long as you like.
The downloadable booklet program contains cultural interpretation for age appropriate levels (4-7yrs, 8-12yrs & 13–16 yrs) and through scavenger hunt-style activities, quizzes and tasks, the whole family can access the real world of Native America. When you have completed requirements, take your booklet to the finishing point and it will be checked by a tribal representative so your kids can receive their prize award.
You will need: a Native Edventure Trails booklet, digital camera & an enquiring mind.
The Native Edventure Trails program will initially run from Rapid City, SD to the Black Hills and Badlands, but similar programs are in the planning for the states of Wyoming and Montana. For extra value and ambiance take advantage of our accommodation and buffalo dinner packages.
